This evocative late 19th-century view captures one of Rome's most iconic vistas along the Tiber River. On the right, the massive cylindrical structure of Castel Sant'Angelo—originally commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum—stands prominently above the riverbank, surmounted by the statue of the Archangel Michael. Extending from its base is the arched structure of Ponte Sant'Angelo, spanning the calm, reflective waters of the Tiber.
Condition: Overall good antique condition with uniform light age-toning and subtle fading to the applied pigments.. Minor edge wear and light handling creases visible near the outer margins.. Warm sepia and muted earthy tints remain well-preserved across the composition.
