An intriguing early 19th-century radial pocket map of London centered on the Dome of St. Paul's Cathedral, featuring concentric distance rings set at intervals of six furlongs (three-quarters of a mile) and divided into 70 sectors for location reference.
Condition: Light toning and minor foxing consistent with age.. Creasing along original publisher fold lines.. Margins intact with small pencil annotations ("4639", "1829 PIGOT") at bottom and right.. Hand coloring remains bright and legible.. Verso details. Severe age. toning, foxing, and scattered moisture staining across the sheet.. Extensive cloth and paper tape repairs along vertical and horizontal fold lines and tear regions.. Strong show. through (bleed. through) of the recto text and engraved circular distance rings.. Wear and light fraying to sheet edges.
