An evocative late 19th-century albumen photograph capturing a bustling street scene just inside Jerusalem's historic Jaffa Gate, featuring local inhabitants, pack animals, and the prominent shop of antique and souvenir dealer Boulos Meo.
Condition: Print is in very good condition with strong contrast and rich warm sepia tones.. Minor light toning/fading along the top edge of the image.. Mounted on heavy black cardboard matting which has a minor chip on the upper right corner.. Verso details. Overall age toning and minor surface scuffs. Significant corner chipping/loss on the upper right side. Visible adhesive or matting residue along the top and bottom edges. Pencil annotations "517" (upper. left) and "5173. 2" (upper. right)
